The American Society of Missiology (ASM)

An ecumenical community of scholarship, fellowship, mission. ASM promotes the scholarly study of theological, historical, social and practical questions related to the missionary dimension of the Christian church. It relates studies in missiology to the other scholarly disciplines; facilitates mutual assistance and exchange of information among those engaged; encourages research and publication in the study of Christian missions. ASM promotes fellowship and cooperation among individuals and institutions engaged in activities and studies related to missiology. ASM publishes a quarterly scholarly journal of mission studies: Missiology: An International Review.

The Association of Professors of Mission (APM)

An ecumenical association of professors of mission to promote fellowship and professional usefulness; share research through papers, presentations and discussion of mission issues; as well as exchange of syllabi. The Association meets annually to discuss pedagogical methodology and on-going research.

Eastern Fellowship

American Society of Missiology
A Fellowship in the Study and Practice of Christian Mission, Eastern Fellowship provides an opportunity to build friendships and engage in stimulating discussions among this diverse group with common interests and wide experience. Meetings emphasize the sharing among some 45 members who have taught and practiced mission in all the regions of the world and in a wide variety of denominations and institutions. Current members include active and retired professors of missions, mission administrators, missioners working in the U.S., doctoral candidates and other students and mission publishers. The group represents an extraordinary range and depth of experience in mission. Eastern Fellowship meets once a year in the Fall, usually the first weekend in November.
