LCWR Executive Director
LCWR is in the process of recruiting and selecting a new Executive Director. This is a position that can have signficant impact on the conference and requires someone with the kind of energy and enthusiasm necessary to engage all leaders in the conference's purpose "to promote a developing understanding and living of religious life."
Candidates must have had experience in congregational leadership beyond the local level. The application deadline is November 4, 2011. The LCWR national board hopes to engage an executive director in the spring of 2012.

Catholic Social Teaching, Education Coordinator Department of Justice, Peace and Human Development United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Washington, DC Position Description: Under the supervision of the Associate Director for Education and Outreach, the Catholic Social Teaching (CST) Education Coordinator advances the USCCB priorities and plans by promoting the bishops' social mission education and outreach priorities in relationship with other national Catholic social ministries' education and outreach initiatives. USCCB: Assistant Director for Asian and Pacific Island Affairs
The Assistant Director is a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church, who under the supervision of the Executive Director of Cultural Diversity in the Church assists the Executive Director in: coordinating and implementing the US Bishops’ strategic plan for the Conference and the associated pastoral efforts and priorities among ethnic and culturally diverse communities in the United States, especially Asian and Pacific Catholics; and developing and strengthening the implementation of approved committee and subcommittee goals, objectives and activities.
The Assistant Director also assists in the preparation of committee reports; represents the USCCB, the CDC Committee and the Subcommittee on Asian and Pacific Island Affairs in public forums; and serves as the voice of the USCCB when out in the field and as a strong in-house advocate for the communities served by the department . Master’s Degree or combination of Bachelor’s degree. Major Field/Specialty: Social Sciences, Pastoral Ministry and Formation, Education, Humanities or a related field. A minimum of 5-6 years experience with pastoral ministry in an arch/diocese, national Catholic organization or religious community. Proficiency in any Asian or Pacific language.

Executive Director: Secretariat of Cultural Diversity in the Church The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) is seeking qualified applicants for the position, Executive Director, Secretariat of Cultural Diversity in the Church. The Executive Director assists the Conference and the Committee to extend their pastoral care to culturally diverse communities of the Catholic Church in the United States and to bring the needs and concerns of these diverse communities to the attention of the Bishops and to other offices within the USCCB. The Executive Director is also responsible for supervision of office staff and preparation /overseeing annual budget, plans and programs. Qualified candidates are practicing Roman Catholics in good standing who possess a master's degree (Doctorate preferred) in theology or philosophy. Additionally, the successful candidate will have at least 10 years of church-related experience, extensive knowledge of the theology of the Catholic Church, structure and hierarchy. The candidate also requires excellent writing and public speaking skills; computer skills in word processing (Microsoft Word), E-mail and Internet; knowledge of a modern foreign language and can demonstrate excellent managerial skills. Country Representative CARO/Nigeria (Abuja)
Primary Responsibilities: The Country Representative (CR) is responsible for leadership and overall management of CRS operations, activities and relationships in Nigeria, consistent with agency policies and procedures and the Central Africa regional strategy. S/he supervises a staff of approximately 60 international and national staff; oversees the effective and cost-efficient implementation of on-going projects; keeps the Regional Director well informed of program developments and priorities; pursues new funding and partnership opportunities in line with the regional strategy; participates actively in regional initiatives and working groups. S/he represents CRS with the Nigerian Government at national and local levels, local Catholic Church and other religious leaders, international and local NGOs, and Nigerian civil society partners. The Country Representative is expected to perform under limited supervision; most normal duties and responsibilities are handled independently following established policies, procedures and priorities, while complex and/or unique issues are handled in consultation with the Regional Director. Developing national staff capacities, partner capacities, partner ownership of programs and ensuring quality programming are key priorities. Job Responsibilities Include:
