2018 Membership Meeting

Welcome to the 2018 Online Membership Meeting. USCMA decided to hold its membership meetings online several years ago to engage more members. Before, the meeting was held in conjunction with the conference and fewer people were able to attend. This year, the 2018 Membership Meeting was held on September 12^th: 63 members registered, 23 participated. 90 Members voted on the 2018 Ballot, that opened on September 13^th and closed on September 24^th. Here are the highlights from the 2018 Ballot, available below.

• Nearly nine out of ten (89%) voters affirmed USCMA webinars; completely agree (71%), somewhat agree (18%), neutral (8%), somewhat disagree (0%), and completely disagree (3%). There were a lot of suggestions about potential webinar topics.
• Seventy percent (70%) of voters are interested in USCMA regional meetings in 2019, with popular destinations offered in the northeast and along the west coast.
• Almost seven out of ten (67%) voters agreed – to varying degrees – that USCMA should hold a 2020 national conference; completely agreed (43%), somewhat agreed (24%), neutral (23%), disagreed somewhat (7%), and disagreed completely (3%). Although there was much discussion surrounding whether the national conference should be moved from October to early summer, 62% voted for the conference to remain in October rather than move it to after Pentecost.

USCMA is happy to announce the entire slate of candidates proposed on the 2018 Ballot has been confirmed, with 92% of the voters affirming the newly elected members of the Board of Directors.
