Enjoy the biographies below, and check out our conference homepage for more details.
Diane Huggins, the president of the board of directors for the Parish Twinning Program of the Americas, will share her experiences with the Eucharist. Diane has been devoted to Eucharistic Adoration for more than 20 years. During her weekly hour before the Eucharist, she journals her prayers. This practice has given her documentation of her faith journey and written proof that God always answers the prayers she offers in His presence.
Diane has been a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Hendersonville for almost 50 years. She serves as co-leader for the parish twinning mission between Our Lady of the Lake and St. Bertin Catholic Church in Haiti. That work lead to her involvement with the Parish Twinning Program of the Americas, an organization that forms and supports twinning relationships between Catholic parishes in the U.S. and Catholic parishes in Haiti and Latin America.
Diane’s passion for mission began on her first visit to St. Bertin in 2001. Since then, she has made twenty-six mission trips to Haiti. She has worked to organize medical and dental missions, support quality education at St. Bertin School, execute numerous projects to address poverty in the community and , most importantly, worship and walk in solidarity with the people. Diane has a close relationship with Marc-Endy Saintil, a young man she met on her first visit to St. Bertin, whom she describes as one of the greatest blessings in her life.
Now retired from her marketing and communications career, Diane holds a master's degree in public administration. She has been married to her husband Mike for 36 years and is a mother of three and grandmother of three.
John and Anne Marie Hansen will facilitate the conference. Both are experienced missionaries, Spiritan Associates, and educators. They have experience with Conversations in the Spirit, a synodal model that will guide our process.
