Our old friend Eli McCarthy, a professor at Georgetown University in justice and peace studies, steering committee member of the Catholic Nonviolence Initiative, a project of Pax Christi International, and the director of the DC Peace Team. His recent book is a Just Peace Ethic Primer: Building Sustainable Peace and Breaking Cycles of Violence (Georgetown University Press, 2020). Eli served for years as the Director of Peace and Justice at the Conference of Major Superiors of Men. He has written an article exploring the nonviolence and just peace themes of Fratelli Tutti.
The USCCB Department of Justice, Peace and Human Development has released a Study Guide (en Español) on Fratelli Tutti for groups or individuals that includes six sessions with prayers, chapter summaries, discussion questions, and suggestions for action and further study.
